The kid friendly design and relatable stories have truly captured their interest and motivated them to spend more time reading independently.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generous support, my students are now able to use these books to take Accelerated Reader tests and track their growth. As a result, they have been able to increase their reading goals by 75% on a weekly basis, which is an incredible achievement. Because of you, my second-grade students now have the opportunity to use Legos as a tool for creativity, collaboration, and storytelling. \r\n\r\nWhen the Lego sets first arrived, my students were beyond excited. As soon as they saw the colorful bricks, their eyes lit up and the room filled with gasps of amazement. Since the items arrived over a few days, they would constantly ask me when they could start using them. Their excitement was contagious, and it was clear that these resources were going to spark not only creativity but also joy in learning.\r\n\r\nI introduced the Legos through a storytelling lesson. Students worked cooperatively in building their story scene. Once the scenes were built, students took time to describe what was happening and who the characters were. From there, they transferred their ideas into writing, crafting stories that had clear settings, characters, and plots.\r\n\r\nWhat I love about this activity is that even our ESOL students are able to participate and contribute something to the story. \r\n\r\nYour generosity has provided us with more than just Lego bricks—you've given my students the chance to connect their imaginations to their writing in a meaningful way. I want to express my deepest gratitude for your generosity in supporting our classroom. Your contributions have made a significant impact, and I am thrilled to share how your kindness is shaping our students' learning experiences.\r\n\r\nSince receiving the new resources, my students and I have been using them to enhance our small group instruction sessions. These materials have been invaluable in helping us create a more engaging and personalized learning environment. One specific project that stands out is our recent reading comprehension workshop. Each student received a personal notebook and clipboard, allowing them to take ownership of their learning. With highlighters in hand, they eagerly underlined key ideas, made connections, and asked thoughtful questions about the text. The handwriting workbooks have also been a game-changer, helping students refine their writing skills in a fun and structured way.\r\n\r\nThe excitement in the classroom was palpable when the students first saw the new materials. Their eyes lit up as they explored their brand-new supplies, flipping through the pages of their notebooks and testing out the highlighters. Many students immediately began organizing their folders, eager to use them in their small groups. It was a heartwarming moment to witness their enthusiasm and appreciation. Some even expressed their gratitude directly, saying, \"Wow, we have our own clipboards! This is going to make group work so much easier!\" Seeing their joy and motivation reminded me of the profound impact that these resources have on their learning experience.\r\n\r\nYour generous support has given my students the tools they need to thrive in a differentiated learning environment.
