The art room is the PARTY FOOD room, and it is ALL because of your generous ity! \r\n\r\nThroughout the year, we have displayed bulldogs with birthday hats and party blowers, Keith Haring inspired 100 year art celebration art, mixed media birthday cakes, 100 piece artworks and more. Celebratory art abounds! \r\n\r\nBut this weekend...my art room comes alive! We have learned about sculpture artists, craftsman and bakers. 5th graders built cake bases, learned how to mix colors and fill piping bags. Students created cake toppers based on themes for their cakes. THEY WERE SO EXCITED TO BE BAKERS! Second graders used clay to build pizza slices with toppings of their choice, and 4th graders made clay cupcake trinket holders complete with frosting and toppings! Kinders learned about the primary colors, then mixed those colors of model magic to create a variety of colors. They rolled coils and created spirals to create their very own lollipops. 1st grade made giant ice cream sculptures that sway from the ceiling, and 3rd learned about the difference between 2D and 3D as they created the parts and then assembled their ice cream sundaes. \r\n\r\nWe are beyond excited to share all of our hard work with parents and the community.
