It has always been true that a love for reading can take you anywhere! However, if you are sitting in the same hard chair to read you cannot really get into the book. I know that initially my students still just want to sit on the fun chairs, but that will open the door to a book that will start a love of outer space, dinosaurs, history, or a million other things. Actual reading is such a rare thing now, and my students academics are suffering because they have gotten so used to "instant" everything" they don't feel the need. I want to really instill a love for reading and it all starts worth a comfy place to sit.
