We've had some pretty incredible moments thanks to your generosity, and I wanted to share a few highlights:\r\nThe Space Station Reading Nook\r\nThe bean bags and pillows have officially turned our reading circle into the most popular real estate in the school. The kids are excited to grab a book because they get to lounge like royalty. When we turn on the constellation projector, the whole ceiling transforms into the night sky. One of my students told me it feels like they're reading on a spaceship. It's become this calm, magical little escape for them.\r\nThe Coolest Science Ever\r\nThe insects encased in plastic are a massive hit. They've been passing them around, comparing the legs and wings, and it's sparked so many questions about nature that we wouldn't have explored otherwise. This has also been great practice in drawing with accuracy. \r\nWhiteboards for our Math Chats\r\nWe've been putting the two new whiteboards to work every single day. We use them to make student thinking visible during math and it's so much more engaging for them to sketch out their logic on a big board than on a tiny piece of paper. This also allows them to engage in an easier sharing of strategies.\r\nThe Heartbeat of our Room\r\nAnd then there's the djembe drum. It's become our official signal for transitions.
