With it we were able to buy a document camera that I use several times a week for math lessons, handwriting lessons, group work, and more. It enables me to model cursive handwriting strokes in a way that is easily viewed on the smartboard from all parts of the room by all kids, as well as to work math problems, model how to answer questions, etc.\r\n We also bought a dozen pairs of student headphones that have already seen good use in the first quarter of school. They are sturdy and brightly colored, and have held up well. It helps to have an extra pair on hand when they an old pair go out inexplicably, allowing independent practice to continue without interruption.\r\n We are looking forward to using our digital microscope soon when we go on a \"teeny tiny scavenger hunt\" for nature items small enough to fit in a matchbox, as well as sampling pond water on a future walking field trip.
