When I explained the idea, everyone was hands on and started creating and designing their own rockets.\r\nI decided to put a twist on the activity and we made a friendly competition for air time. We had personnel from our district visiting us and they had fun engaging in the activity. The timers were super helpful to conduct this activity.\r\nWhen we got back to the classroom we followed up with questions, observations and even scenarios of how to make the rocket fly longer and higher. For example: less mass, more water, break up the Alka-Seltzer tablet, wings, etc.\r\nOne student mimicked seeds from maple trees on her design and the rocket was spinning around when as it came down.\r\nOverall, students, staff and the general public benefited from this project!","fullyFundedDate":1733267265364,"projectUrl":"project/blast-off/8897655/","projectTitle":"Blast Off!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Hidalgo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9813010"},{"teacherId":371767,"projectId":9126829,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your purchase of a class set of the Lego BricQ Motion and forces kits.
