Grammar is a fundamental part of learning language and being able to express oneself in written form. Therefore, there is a need to practice applying grammar rules on sentences. That is exactly what these grammar books allow my students to do.\r\n\r\nNow, my students are getting the daily practice they need to become fluent writers. They are participating and sharing their ideas. They are learning when it is necessary to apply different rules. As an added bonus, they are practicing their penmanship since they must rewrite the sentences. I'm grateful for their investment to this task. I'd like to share some of the things that we have been able to accomplish so far. First of all, we start the writing block with the Correct the Sentence! daily journals which helps us review grammar. \r\n Moreover, it has been easy to teach my students to organize their written work with the binders. My students are currently working on their third writing assignment. There are no loose papers inside their desk, and lost papers are rare. All their papers are neatly kept in the folders which saves us a lot of time. As a result, they are submitting nice work that I can proudly display on the bulletin boards. \r\n Speaking of posting things proudly, we used the laminating machine to laminate and display a project for Hispanic Heritage Month. This is just the beginning for us.\r\nImagine all the written work my students will produce this year.","fullyFundedDate":1746787099886,"projectUrl":"project/fundamentals-for-writing-success/9149777/","projectTitle":"Fundamentals for Writing Success","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Cuellar","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1343832_orig.jpg?crop=1136,1136,x221,y23&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1597448352410","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1343832"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_7550","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":565,"numTeachers":36,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":8,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":88,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":2,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"15.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":86.5,"schoolId":7550,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about 92nd Street Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"92nd Street Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/los-angeles-unified-school-district/92nd-street-elementary-school/7550"}
