Having an inviting quiet corner in our classroom will allow my students an opportunity to cope with sometimes stressful situations. Even though my students are very young and for the most part are happy positive children they have witnessed many hardships throughout the pandemic. Some have experienced death in the family and personal illness. This brings about a variety of feelings and emotions that sometimes at their age they have trouble expressing. Having a place with quality literature and a feeling of home just might be what they need at the moment. The books in the library will be read by me and discussed as a group and then placed in the library for them to go to if they feel the need.
