After teaching for 15 years, I never imagined that I would feel the need to put together a bag with supplies to help my little kindergartners so that they would be able to complete all of their school assignments at home. All the supplies that I am requesting will be going directly to each and every one of my students.
The majority of my students have never been to school and need the basic school supplies to be able to begin their school journey successfully and prepared.
Every single supply will help my students in many ways. For example, the jumbo pencils are easy for their small hands to hold. This will help in the early stages of their writing development. The dry erase lapboards will help us work together on math problems, sentences, drawing and many more tasks. Students will need the dry erase markers and eraser to use with their whiteboards. The watercolor paint will allow us to work on fun art projects even if we are away from each other. The linking cubes are great manipulatives that will enhance students' counting, addition, subtraction, patterns, and color recognition. The primary journals is a perfect way for students to begin perfecting the craft of penmanship and writing. As you can see, all the supplies will greatly benefit all my kindergarten students.
