Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are 9-12 graders who are learning English as a second language. They are curious and diligent learners who strive to develop their English language proficiency during their academic journey. They’re always ready to explore something new and love hands-on materials in the classroom. This upcoming semester, I am setting up a classroom area where students can decompress when they need to.

Our multilingual learners go through a lot while getting to the United States and I would love to make it more manageable for them to meet their best potential.

I’m requesting basic supplies such as index cards and paper clips along with bean bags and calming strategy tools. My students also need visual supports such as grammar posters and conversation starters to support their language development. The requested supplies are intended to help my students with their literacy and SEL development.
