Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am requesting snacks and paper goods, as well as a kettle for cocoa, to enjoy during a special movie event we are having in our classroom. I am also requesting these snacks to keep in our "Snack Cupboard" for students who may be hungry or thirsty during the school day. We are so lucky to have new students in our school from countries all over the world, including Ukraine, Russia, Cambodia, and Belarus. Students are getting comfortable and acclimating to our country, neighborhood, and school community. This is a drastically new environment for many, and the comforts of some tasty and delicious snacks will be just wonderful. Students are working hard to complete their nightly math homework, and we are carefully tracking our hard work. Students have worked so hard, they are earning a special "Movie Day!" We would love to have accompanying snacks and drinks to enjoy for this event. We would also like to have a "Snack Cupboard" accessible for students who are hungry.
Our students are simply awesome!
Many are facing distinct challenges being new to the country, including learning the language and getting accustomed to their new environment. They are trying their best in every way, and I am very proud of them.
