Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are currently revamping our classroom library to reflect "The Science of Reading" to give our children the essential books needed to grow as readers. Children need to be exposed to books aligned to skills he or she needs to work on.

Our scholars are second graders that need a large amount of instructional support to meet their academic needs.

Our children would benefit from decodable books that will help build the foundation needed to become fluent readers. Decodable texts allow children to implement various strategies and skills learned during phonics to help build their reading ability and confidence.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
