Young Scholars in Portable Need Some Essential Items

My Project

My students are struggling with acquiring some essential items that we use on a daily basis. These include folding umbrellas, erasers and headphones. Over the past few months, I put calls out to our families for donations to no avail. We are at a Title I school, which is why I am expanding my network out to the greater community.

The goal for this project is an effort to help get my scholars' needs met.

Our classroom is in a portable, which is far from the facilities, and our walkways are uncovered. This is problematic every time we get our Floridian rains and deluges because my kiddos get soaked and then get chilled.

What makes my students so special is that they are becoming classroom leaders, making literacy gains, and are beginning to co-manage our class. I am so proud of them!
