Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from low-income families in Detroit, MI. They are sweet, energetic, and eager to learn! These students come from diverse backgrounds. Some are bilingual or learning English as a second language, and they have various needs.

My school is a positive and energetic learning community with students who love school.

My students love to learn and get excited about coming to school. I want to provide all of my students with materials that are best suited for their needs.

Our public school bends over backward to help our students as much as possible, but budget cuts have severely cut funding. I can't afford to give them everything they need.

My Project

These are some of the tools we need to make writing exciting for our students. With your donation of markers, journals, and zipper pouches we will make sure that each of our students have the materials that they need in order to successfully soar in our classroom.

If we receive these donations, my students will then have enough supplies for us to last the entire school year!

I teach special needs, gifted and talented, and second language learners in my class. As a teacher, I am always looking for new ways to involve my students in their learning. All of these supplies will be used to create engaging, interactive lessons for my students. The dry erase markers will help put individualized writing lessons at our fingertips for our ELL students.
