This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My third-grade scholars are beginning an exciting new chapter in their educational journey, and I want to empower them to become active participants in their own learning. This project will provide each student with a personalized data notebook filled with binders, dividers, sheet protectors, notebooks, folders, and goal-tracking materials. These resources will allow scholars to monitor their progress in reading, math, writing, attendance, and behavior, reflect on their growth, and celebrate milestones throughout the year. Instead of simply receiving grades, they will learn to understand their data, set meaningful goals, and recognize that hard work leads to success.

Every scholar deserves the opportunity to see their own growth and believe in their potential.

My goal is to create a classroom where students take ownership of their learning, develop confidence, and build a growth mindset. Our classroom motto is, "Every day is a new page. Every challenge is part of the plot. Every scholar has a story worth telling." Data notebooks will help bring that motto to life by encouraging scholars to reflect, persevere, and celebrate every accomplishment, no matter how big or small.

My students are resilient, curious, and eager to learn. They come to school with unique strengths, experiences, and dreams, and they thrive when they can see the progress they are making. By investing in these data notebooks, you are giving my scholars more than school supplies you are giving them the tools to become confident, goal-driven learners who understand that they are the authors of their own success story.
