Help me give my students an environment that will help them embrace learning. I teach at a Title I school and sometimes our community is unable to support.

My Project

I am requesting flexible floor seats and a low table so that every student in my classroom has access to safe, supportive, and comfortable seating during whole-group and small-group instruction. Some of my kindergarten students are entering school with physical and developmental needs that can make sitting unsupported on the floor difficult. These seats provide back support and stability, helping students maintain their bodies safely while still participating with their classmates.

Rather than providing specialized seating only for a few students and potentially making them feel singled out, I would like all of my students to have the opportunity to use the same seating.

This creates an inclusive classroom environment where every child feels that they belong.

These floor seats will also support learning because students can use them while listening, reading, writing, working with manipulatives, and completing activities on the floor. With proper support, students can focus more on learning and less on trying to keep their bodies comfortable and stable.

My goal is to create a kindergarten classroom where every child feels safe, supported, included, and ready to learn.
