My Project

What I love most about my students in physical education is their energy, enthusiasm, and willingness to participate. Many of my students have limited verbal communication skills, but they express themselves powerfully through movement. The gym is a vital outlet for them, providing space to release energy, build confidence, and connect with others.

They are hands-on learners who benefit from multisensory experiences—seeing demonstrations and visual supports, hearing cues, and actively practicing skills.

Sensory regulation activities, along with equipment like cones, balls, and agility tools, help them stay focused, calm, and engaged while developing coordination and teamwork.

I would love to expand access to these resources so I can better support their sensory needs and create meaningful, active learning experiences that foster growth, communication, and a love of movement.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
