My Students

Kids love to move. A lot. Any class you walk into, you can see kids squirming and wiggling everywhere and the students' movement choices aren’t always the quietest. Giving students the tools, including wiggle seats and exercise bands, to move while still being seated in their areas helps them move while still being able to concentrate on the lesson and participate. These tools prepare our students with strategies to move when they have the wiggles, without disrupting the entire class.

Every teacher appreciates a tool where students aren’t disruptive when they need to move!

Our ultimate goal is to enable our students to be able to wiggle when needed, but appropriately in the classroom, and with these tools, that goal should be possible.

My Project

Flexible seating helps students move while still focusing on the lesson in their classroom. With these wiggle stools and bands, students will have the flexibility of movement while learning new, and often challenging, concepts. These tools will promote learning without the lesson being disrupted due to the students needing to move. Our class currently has some of bands and disks, but not enough for every student to have a flexible seating option; which is why we are asking for your support! We want every student to have the choice for flexible seating while learning. Thank you for helping this goal become a reality!
