My Students

Our students are in fourth grade, ages 9-10. We have a diverse population both culturally and economically in our area. We are a low-income​ school.

Our students have a desire to succeed!

They have positive attitudes and are hard workers.

Our students are excited to come to school and learn. Knowledge is power, they can do anything, and be anything! They are motivated and want to learn. We want to keep a positive energetic environment in our classrooms. We have amazing students. With support, guidance, and encouragement, they can accomplish anything!

My Project

This year I have several students who struggle to stay focused and work independently. This could be an effect of the lack of consistent education in light of Covid-19. I know some students struggle with anxiety which impacts their social-emotional learning. We have tried other options such as fidget toys, but they become too big of a distraction not only to them but to others. These chairs will help them to be able to move their bodies in order to focus on their assignments. I have noticed that these students especially struggle to finish tests. I know these will give them the support they need in order to finish their work and become successful students.
