Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are gifted and talented both in seventh and eighth grades and I hope to provide more STEM-related activities for them this year as well as transforming my classroom to foster students who are more Gifted and Talented.
My class consists of about 130 students.
They are thinkers, innovators, leaders and care for others. They strive for excellence and area always curious. They do their best not just in academics but also in the arts and extracurricular activities.
My Project
Gifted students tend to have a lot of energy or their brains move too fast for their bodies to follow. Quite a few of them also tends to not be able to sit still for long. Having flexible seating where they can work on the floor is calming to them and having quiet sensory toys can calm their energy and nerves during class. The floor foam pad will keep them off the cold cement floor and is easy to sanitize.
By donating to this project, you will provide my gifted students flexible seats and sensory gadgets that will help them calm down and focus on the lesson at hand.
Quiet sensory toys are specially chosen. All items are easy to sanitize after use.
