Whiteboard for Student Learning

My Project

Class sizes continue to grow in our small town school. Our resources are limited. The opportunity to have a magnetic dry erase board will increase student work area, get the students out of their seat and from behind a desk. It gives them a chance to demonstrate their abilities and learn from mistakes. It also allows students to have a visual during whole class instruction.

We have small personal whiteboards that students use often when their at their seats, but the addition of a new magnetic whiteboard to our classroom would be a fantastic tool for the students and would give them the freedom to move from their traditional desks.

By updating our old shower board, that we are using as a whiteboard, students will be able to utilize the new magnetic whiteboard during class. It will allow students more space to share their knowledge and practice the skills we are learning in class. The large space allows for multiple students to work at the board at the same time to help reinforce social skills and communication.
