These alternative seating opportunities will allow students to choose what seating works best for them and allows them to stay focused on their tasks. Currently I have students that choose to sit around the room on the floor, in cubbies or stand. I also have students who struggle sitting still during independent time and have noticed that movement increases their time on task. Allowing the students to choose their seating during independent time increases their focus and motivation. The products I have selected will allow an increase in on task time as well as less peer to peer disruptions which all result in a greater engagement.
