Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This is my first year teaching as an EC Resource Teacher. The students under my care may need extra help in reading, writing, math, and/or social-emotional needs. I need materials that can cater to all the different needs my students may have. I am extremely honored to fill this role, but I need a lot of materials to make my room feel welcoming and inspirational. Most of the students need extra support, and I want to offer that support and more! I want my students to feel driven and motivated to work.

I would love my room with a new rug, lighting and decor to feel like a FUN classroom.

Students learn best when they are enjoying themselves. I want to create a space where my students feel comfortable being themselves, taking a break when they need to, and coming back ready to learn. I want my classroom to be a place where students can escape the pressures they may be facing and have a space to regulate their emotions, build confidence, and feel supported.

My goal is to create a classroom where motivation kicks off and inspiration is found. With the right materials and resources, I hope to create an environment where my students can learn, grow, and feel proud of themselves. Every donation, big or small, will help me create a classroom that my students look forward to coming to each day.
