What's Art Without Ink?

Help me give my students materials they need with ink, printer paper and a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card so that materials can be provided to them while Distance Learning.

My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school, I work with students who are faced with many challenges, both in and out of the classroom. Due to distance learning, they need visuals.

Despite these challenges, my students are remarkable.

They all have severe social, cognitive, and behavioral deficits. My students all have autism. My students are between the ages of five and ten. I teach art and have a total of nine, different classes made up of six students and one class of eight students. Our site has around one hundred students. We have nine sites.

My Project

Teaching art during distance learning to students with autism has been very challenging, especially for my students. They need concrete materials and repetition. Since learning from home, some of our families do not have access to the resources needed for individualized learning.

Being able to provide art templates, visual directions and symbols to my students who lack a printer and resources will give them the learning support they need to create art across many genres.

Now that we are teaching remotely, access to our school and printer is no longer an option. Having ink and paper will help me to create resources and differentiated materials that my students need to complete projects and participate in online learning. Just because they are learning from home doesn't mean students shouldn't have access to the tools and materials they normally have at their disposal.

Please help my students get the necessary resources like paper and ink so materials can be sent home in order to bridge the gap between distance and in person learning.
