My Students

My students have been through difficult life experiences and require extra supports and care to foster their success. Some have experienced significant trauma while others simply need help learning coping skills and executive functioning skills to help them be more successful at school and at home.

My students come from diverse cultural backgrounds and each bring a unique perspective!

They desire to be successful and to improve, and are very loving when others show their love and support of their efforts.

My Project

Students today face so many challenges regarding race, belonging, mental health, self-worth, and focus and are often ill-equipped to meet these challenges.

I aim to help the students I work with in the school setting to develop the resiliency and skills to cope with the challenges they face!

I will do this by utilizing evidence-based therapies (play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, etc.) supplemented with interesting books and fun games, all while feeling comfortable and safe in my office. Access to these toys, books, and games will also provide greater exposure to and acceptance of diverse cultures.
