Help me give my students assistance in paying for their next trip payment. They must pay in Dec. I would like to help ease the financial burden on parents, especially during the holidays.
The students that I teach are the top 10% of my school. I want to create an environment in which they can thrive in and their creative abilities can reach their fullest potential. They have the ability and the drive to be future leaders in our communities. They enjoy learning and a challenge that goes beyond their general education classroom.
Students in my program are capable of great things when presented with the opportunity to showcase their knowledge.
Many come from lower socioeconomic income homes and cannot always afford to have experiences that can extend their learning. I try to provide them with a learning environment that allows for their love of lifelong learning to grow.
My Project
The students in our classroom talk every week about what we will see and do in Washington DC! They are so excited to tour the history of our nation!
The students that I teach each day in my classroom enjoy learning beyond what is presented to them at their grade level.
As gifted students, they study a unit each year, this year we are learning about the Road to the White House! They are thrilled to learn about our government and how it works. Many of the students I teach come from lower socioeconomic homes but thrive educationally.
This trip would allow them experiences that they might not otherwise have. They are good stewards of their communities, each year, they complete a community service project, learning the importance of giving to and helping others. They are leaders in the classroom and in their school.
This is the second payment for our trip! We have been working very hard on fundraising, however, as you can imagine, this trip is very expensive, but at the same time, it is totally invaluable! Your continued support of sending these students to Washington DC will allow them to have experiences that they will not soon forget. Visiting our nation’s capital will allow the learning that we have been doing in the classroom come to life. The connections that they will make will be incredible!
This project will make such an impact on my students as the history that they are learning is no longer just "something in a book", it's real, and it’s in their face.
They can be a part of something that is special and it could potentially ignite a passion inside of one or more of them to become a future leader in our country.
