My Project

In Room 209, my students discuss how our classroom is community. Therefore, we should take proud in the community that we live in too. Everyday, my students are learning about giving back to our community such as what can you do to improve our community and how can we make someone's day. For this project, my students will create and design "wellness bags" for our community members. Each bag will be filled with water bottles or juice bottles and some healthy snacks. In addition, students will use the colored pencils, sharpies, and crayons to create and design inspirational cards for our community members. Also the cards will have inspirational quotes or drawings to put a smile on their face. In addition, the cards will have some wellness tips to keep them motivated to stay healthy. In some "wellness bags" there will be ways for the community members to stay stress free with the slime and stress balls so they can have a positive mindset. Also, students will create and design inspiring tile magnets with a powerful word so a local member so they can hang the magnet in their work place. In addition, students will design window art for community members so they can look out the window to see art.

All of these materials will help my students promote wellness in their community.

It will show that they can make a difference by showing one small act of kindness. Students can give inspiration to others with the "wellness bags" and the cards
