My Students

My classroom supports students with emotional needs, giving them a more structured learning environment with added social skills. My students currently are fourth graders, and such a diverse and wonderful group of learners. Sometimes misunderstood, but they have my heart.

My Project

My students are a wonderful group of kids that just need extra behavior support. We currently have a calm-down space in our classroom where emotions can be worked through. We have wonderful tools for students to use like putty, headphones, fidget toys. What is lacking is the room itself.

Let's create an amazing and truly welcoming place for students who need to calm their emotions.

The addition of tap lights, gel floor tiles, and a comfy peapod will give my students a room that is welcoming and a place they feel comfortable to work through their anger, anxiety, or worry.
