My Project

Hello! My name is Jordan Angelle, and I am a Science teacher in a Chicago Public School. Recently, with the surge of people coming to America for a better life and safety. We have had a lot of students coming into our school who do not speak English. We really want these kids to feel welcome and at home with books they can read and enjoy as they continue their journey to read, write, and speak English!

With these novels I've picked, I've done research on them and found that these titles are really fun and interesting for kids!

We know reading can be boring or not interesting, so I wanted to show our new students that graphic novels are just as fun and interesting as anything else! These students have been through so much lately, that I want to make sure they do not lose their passion for learning, and that we can put together a library for future students to come!
