Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The selected items are for students to use in the classroom, such as the mouse for their laptops, the stylus for writing on their computers. Sometimes students do not have a computer, so extra tablets are helpful as our district does not provide extra computers in our classroom.

Sticky notes are great for writing down ideas or adding to students' meaningful notes.

To help save some paper and allow for creativity, the color LCD tablets will be useful when students are working on their calculations. This will encourage them to want to take risks in math while having fun.

The color pens are for students to use for corrections on assessments or for writing notes.

The smelly stamp pads are for myself (teacher) to use as motivational feedback, which apply to the senses. The wall paper is also for the senses. I am trying to provide a welcoming environment where students feel safe making mistakes and willing to take risks in learning math.

Students have asked for a coffee maker in the classroom to make hot cocoa in the mornings when coming in for tutoring. Yes, it's a thing in our classroom; so that I may take my personal Keurig home.
