Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
At WHS's College and Career Center, we have had the privilege of assisting seniors to reach their academic and career goals by helping them navigate the college admissions process. Since the jump start of the school year, our students have worked effortlessly to try and balance their academics and extracurriculars, while also navigating college application season, where they submitted almost 3,000 applications; they deserve to be celebrated!
Decision Day has been an annual tradition where students are recognized and celebrated for reaching a very important milestone in their lives that will direct them to the next road of success.
With that being said I have created a DonorsChoose Project titled "Welcome to the Premiere of Your Lives!", with the hopes of receiving giveaway items, such as computer accessories and dorm articles, that we can raffle off to students during this exciting event. I would greatly appreciate any support that you can provide and would be just as grateful if you could help spread this project out to your communities.
The materials that I can gather will be distributed at our annual College Decision Day. Students will be able to receive college materials to aid or support them with their college transition.
We know college can get very expensive, and helping at least one student with any college materials would be a huge help, and we ask that you donate whatever you can to assist our students with the college-going process.
