Help me give my students resources and technology that they can use to help cope with natural disasters we have recently faced.

My Project

Storms in our area have affected our students both mentally and emotionally.

The threat to our students' lives, homes and school has impacted their learning and behavior.

Students come to the counselor's office daily to get comfort and peace from their worries. The students can use the iPad and Apple pencil to fill out counselor forms. The iPad will also allow them easy access to severe weather conditions in our area. I want our students to be knowledgeable about what is happening and what we need to do to stay safe. By gaining an understanding of the storms and their cycles our students are less likely to feel as fearful when it happens again. The cleaning supplies will be used to help keep sickness out and to keep our areas clean. New computer speakers are needed to be able to hear any emergent weather announcements. Our students cope with anxiety, and grief, and are sometimes fearful because of the severe weather we have experienced lately. The resources I am asking for could help our parents and students find comfort in these trying times. Our students will use apps that will help them learn about the threats as well as test their knowledge.
