My students need one Chromebook so they can be healthier and smarter. The Google Management Console License is so students won't be able to get into inappropriate websites.
I teach second graders in one of the best rural schools in Oklahoma! My students are amazing, inquisitive, and eager-to-learn. Although some may have difficult lives, my students come to school with smiles on their faces. They are supportive and cheer each other to success. Half of them go to Title I Reading, 30 minutes every day, for extra help.
My students are special because they have curiosity, creativity, compassion, and positive attitudes.
They are leaders who show love, compassion, kindness, and bravery. They are truly amazing people. My school is wonderfully supportive of the active, hands-on learning that we do in our classroom. I couldn't ask for a better environment for these students. We are truly a community!
My Project
My students absolutely love the recess Chromebook that was purchased through DonorsChoose. They take it outside every day and use different fitness apps. They also like doing yoga at recess. That has become a problem because my students are arguing. This Chromebook will be used so that one group can do physical fitness activities every day at recess. They will use the physical fitness apps. My students will still use our first Chromebook for yoga. It is a great problem that my students need another Chromebook because they want to exercise! Furthermore, with this Chromebook, more students can see the screen. Our group is growing because more students are wanting to participate. With this Chromebook the groups would be smaller therefore each student would be able to see the instructions of each fitness or yoga app.
"Ms. W would you please buy us another Chromebook so we can do yoga every day?
I love yoga!" These are the words from a second grader who used to stand by me at recess. Now she loves yoga at Recess and brought a yoga mat to school. On the days the students are using the physical fit apps she continues to stand by me. This Chromebook will be used to help her, and other students like her, participate in the physical fit or yoga activities they love everyday.
The license will be used too for our tech guy to control this Chromebook so my students can't get on inappropriate sites and apps.
