My Students

My students are a very special group of children. We are the epitome of a melting pot school. We have children from five out of the seven continents.

Each child brings something special from their culture to the classroom.

Our class is also filled with a variety of different types of learners. They are always striving to do their best. We work hard but have fun doing it. This project will help ease my students' fidgeting. Thank you for helping this special group of children.

My Project

Imagine having to sit still for hour after hour working hard. My 4th graders are amazing children and workers, but they do get restless. We do break for 15 minutes a day to stretch and exercise, but they want and need more.

One of the kids watched a news report on a classroom that has mini cycles under some of the students' desks.

She thought that our class would be more focused if we got them. She also said it would be a great way to get the wiggles out.

This project will get my kids active while learning. We talked about some ways to exercise and many of our ideas were too time consuming.

We do however try to take advantage of free time here and there.

If we have these cycles, the children will be able get exercise and have a way to deal with their energy. They can exercise their body and mind at the same time!
