Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a Title I school where most of my students come from low-income families. The highlight of many of my students' day is coming to school and using the resources they can't access at home. They love using technology, STEM building supplies, and art supplies.

I love being able to give my students these experiences, and I work hard to give my students a fun, safe, and loving learning environment.

I have a lot of ELL students and would love to have the supplies to give them a well-rounded education.

My Project

My students will use the chair pockets to keep their school supplies, including the glue sticks, pencils, and journals they use every day, safely separated from those of other students.

This will help my students with their safety concerns about the pandemic impacting our classroom every day.

My Spanish students will be so excited to have books in their language added to our library. This will create a personalized learning reading plan for them. Half of my students are English learners, and they borrow books in Spanish from the school library. It will mean the world to them to have some in the classroom library they can read every day.
