Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is filled with bright, independent, and hilarious teenagers. They are full of questions ranging from math questions to life related questions. My students love learning with technology and appreciate the trust put in them when they are responsible for their own learning. The young people in my classroom everyday come to school from diverse backgrounds. Their backgrounds include privilege for some but trauma for many others.

My students deserve a classroom equipped to enhance their education.

My Project

These supplies will help my students in many ways and for many years to come. With the notebooks, my students will be able to keep track of their work, organize their notes, and have access to the content even after they move on from my class. The chargers and extension cords will give power to areas of the classroom that do not have access to outlets to charge their chromebooks. Learning with technology is an important aspect of students' lives; however, the technology is only useful if it is charged!

Access to these supplies should not depend on a student's family income or their location in a classroom.
