We Need Sensational Sorting Skills

My students need Chunky Sorting Fish, Color Sorting Bags, Alphabet Soup Sorters, and a Dogs Math and Sort Set.

My Students

Although my students are in their teens they are still trying to master basic skills. Some of my students are able to sort objects into categories, by color, by size, or by shape. However, for some of my students I am just trying to get them to initiate movement or a grasp an object.

My students are between the ages of 12-15 and have been diagnosed with severe cognitive and/or physical disabilities.

My students attend a separate facility where students will severe disabilities follow a functional curriculum. My students love learning new skills because it improves their self-esteem and increases their independence.

My Project

My students would love to have the Chunky Sorting Fish, Color Sorting Bags, Dog Sorting Set, and the Alphabet Set Soup Sorters in our classroom. For my more advanced students they could sort the leaning materials into a variety of categories or count the objects. For my more basic learning these objects would be wonderful to get them to initiate movement or to grasp.

My students will use these materials everyday.

By funding this project your will be providing my students with the tools to build basic skills that will last them a lifetime. Thank you so much for considering this proposal.
