Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As a result of the school closures, my preschool students with special needs are having a difficult time accessing the hands-on materials they need to learn. Parents are struggling to provide engaging activities because they do not have the money or ability to purchase the materials they need to teach. Technology alone is not enough to support my students learning because they need access to physical materials they can manipulate.
My Project
Students with special needs require a significant amount of visual supports to learn. The school closures have been especially hard for them to learn because families cannot print materials at home. Therefore, I greatly need an Epson Workforce printer to keep up with the demand of printing visual aids, worksheets, and other materials for my students to be able to learn effectively. Without access to visual aids, my students cannot learn the information presented in Zoom class meetings. With access to a quality printer, I can provide my families with the tools they need to learn effectively.
