My students come to school each day with a zeal in their hearts to learn and grow! They strive to be the best and they work hard at everything that is placed in front of them! Despite their circumstances, they come in with smiles on their faces every day ready and eager to learn. My students attend an urban school that has 100% of students receiving free or reduced rate lunch. Most of them are being raised by a single mom or by grandparents. Almost all of them have multiple siblings in their family.
My priority is to make sure they maintain the zest and love for learning!
They are just at the beginning of becoming life-long learners!
The students I teach are brilliant in their own individual ways! Some of them are limited in their experiences but certainly know how to make the most of the environment handed to them. They give everything 100%! It is so heart filling!
Freckle is an INCREDIBLE math fluency app that improves math fluency and test scores by reviewing and spiraling math standards. I'm hoping to take the fear out of learning math by providing my students with an exciting way to learn! Due to the wide variety of needs in my classroom, my students work in small groups daily in order to work on their individual needs. Students work independently in the classroom on skills that have been taught in all subject areas while I meet with these groups. iPads will give my students the opportunity to explore math on their own in the most interesting ways.
