Our elementary is a Title I school located in Arden Arcade. We have 520 students, 96% of which qualify for free and reduced price lunch. 40% of our students are Emerging Bilinguals (primarily Spanish, Arabic and Farsi).
This is a school filled with some of the most resilient, creative and compassionate kids you'll ever meet!
We want to provide them with every opportunity possible to reach their full potential. Our students are currently at home for the next month amid school closures!
My Project
Sacramento County has understandably shut down all schools. Our school, specifically, is closed until the end of Spring break (April 10th). We are providing online learning to students, however not everyone has access to computers or iPads at home.
Your donation would provide equitable access to learning for our neediest students.
Families with no computer at home will be able to check out a Chromebook during the closure. After this craziness is over, we will be able to provide loaner computers to families without access. This donation will not only help in a time of high stress, but will continue to benefit our families afterward.
