My Students

I work in an inner-city school that is home to our district's SAIL program for children diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our school is a PreK-Grade 6 school where 48% of our students are English Language Learners, 34% are Students with Disabilities, and 84% are high needs.

I teach in a sub-separate classroom.

The degree of my students' disorders makes it impossible for them to be included in a general classroom setting.

My students require a highly modified curriculum, smaller class size, and a lower student/teacher ratio to be successful learners. I have twelve of the most charming, fantastic children in my classroom. They each have their own distinct ways of learning and this makes it difficult to provide them with all the materials they need to meet their individual learning styles and academic levels.

My Project

As we begin an exciting new year, we need some basic workbooks that will give my special students the practice they need in Reading and Math.

My project is for individual copies of Spectrum Reading Workbooks, Spectrum Phonics Workbooks, and Spectrum Math Workbooks for my students.

Having a strong foundation in Reading and Math is necessary for future academic success. My students have specific learning goals that align to our State Curricula and of course I want all of my students to meet and surpass their goals.

These workbooks will help my children build confidence and advance their skills through practice and focused instruction.
