Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is a place of dedicated learners. My students are a fantastic group of energetic kids who want to learn! Students come ready for school daily.

Most students are from a low-income community at our school, and over 75% of them receive free or reduced-price lunches.

Over 60% of them speak a language at home that is not English. I want them to feel loved! My students are engaged and want to learn about everything.

My Project

Our library is a beloved place at our school. Unfortunately, many of our books are outdated and our students are not interested in them. I would love to give the library a little update with current book titles.

We want our students to have a love of reading.

With these popular titles by Raina Telgemeier, students will be excited to read.

Our students have not been to the library since March 2020. We have tried to get the books that were checked out before COVID-19 and our school closed, returned, but most students have lost them. These books need to be replaced. Thank you so much for supporting public schools.
