Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This is a unique class of 30 third graders. They're creative, inquisitive, and energetic. I want to make sure they have an amazing year! My hope is that they learn that anything is possible through hard work and I never want a lack of supplies to impede on their success.
This diverse group of children deserve the highest quality education.
Even though I know they need better books, materials and technology to keep up with more affluent schools, I am dedicated to giving them the best education, regardless of these setbacks.
My Project
Nonfiction, fiction, drama, poetry! These Storyworks Junior issues are so interesting and exciting, the students don't even realize they're building analytical reading, writing, and test-taking confidence just by reading the articles!
My students love reading across the genres, but unfortunately our school doesn't have the resources to immerse them in quality literature.
Storyworks Junior is the answer we have been looking for. Each issue gives a variety of standards-based literature that is differentiated to reach all students, from struggling to advanced readers. There's even an online component to supplement the magazine.
Donating to this project will help enrich the curriculum in a way that keeps the kids engaged and motivated to learn.
