Help me give my students books to take home that are colorful, and fun to read. They LOVE when they receive books to call their own. The reinforcement of reading from home instills the love of reading!

I am a Reading Specialist in a high-need inner city school where most of our students come to us from public housing. These are high-risk students who need this school and the love and support of its teachers for more than just an education. Our students deal with weekly incidents of trauma, based on the horrific incidents that occur in our neighborhood. Through community outreach, our students are provided uniforms, hats, gloves, and some school supplies, etc. We are currently assessing and addressing the effects of the Pandemic Learning Loss. I teach students in KG - 2nd grade, some who do not know their letters or letter sounds. My students are aware of their learning loss, and they're anxiously trying to improve. I have initiated some parents and grandparents to help bridge this learning gap. I want to continue to create enthttps://adminsecure.donorschoose.org/admin/screen_project.html#husiasm for reading.
My students are enthusiastic learners! At the start of the school year, some of my students didn't know their letters or letter sounds (due to the Pandemic Learning Loss). I worked with them, and enlisted parents to help. I made letter flash cards, then sight word flash cards. I sent these home, based on the need of the child. I also sent information home to let the parents know the reading level of their child, and the level they should be. Next, I sent growth updates, which are encouraging.
Now, we need help getting fresh books into the school and inside the homes.
Students need to work toward reading for thirty minutes every per night. Although they will read the same book repeatedly until they are fluent, they need plenty of titles to keep the interest high.
