My Project

Someone very generously dropped off a rooster and a hen to our barn. My classroom students, the school students, and all staff are ecstatic! Our school is a special needs school which works with students of multiple personalities. My classroom of six students is located in a barn where we have grown a vegetable and flower garden.

We are so excited to have chickens join us!

It is extremely beneficial for our students to learn to care for animals, clean the coop, and learn from them. Some of our students have aggressive behaviors and sitting and watching the chickens helps calm them down.
