We Have Been Bitten...by the Creative Bug!

My students need 14 different art supplies, such as tempera paint, paint brushes, paint tubs, glitter glue and dot art paint.

I am a third grade teacher, switching to first grade, in a low-income, high-need, diverse community.

I am a second year teacher who has had to borrow, bargain, and barter for everything I have. So when it comes to having Art supplies, I am definitely lacking. And now I am about to change grade levels and feel that my transition would be smoother having some Art supplies of my own.

We need art supplies, such as tempera paint, paint brushes, paint tubs, glitter glue, and dot art paint. My students love to be creative and do Art. On days that we do art, they tell me I am the best teacher ever! So when I hear that and see how happy I have made these kids, it makes me want to more. Then I open my cabinet and it is empty! Art supplies for my students would allow them to tap into their inner kid and enjoy school on another level.
