My Students

My first graders are energetic and creative little people who are always excited to take part in new experiences. My students love to read and are very proud of themselves at the end of the year when they realize how far they've come!

Each child in my classroom loves to learn, and the methods in which they learn best vary greatly.

I use a variety of learning strategies, group work, and flexible seating and learning options to ensure that each student’s needs are met where they are!

They are a wonderful group of kiddos, and I am so thankful to have a new group of learners who are excited and ready to learn!

My Project

First graders spend a large majority of time learning to read and write in the classroom. This project will give my students some fun resources for writing and spelling practice in the classroom! Chalk and chalkboard writing allow students to write words while using the correct amount of pressure, and still have the ability to erase when they make mistakes. My students also use dry erase markers, smelly markers and large pieces of paper as well. All of these requested resources will help me give them more options that will make writing more exciting for them.
