Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

February is the shortest month, but sometimes downplayed with the basic African American facts.

I want to enrich my scholars on ALL the beautiful aspect and the importance of black excellence during this month and further on.

I'm beyond sad that my scholars are not in tune with the fundamentals that make this month so rich, fruitful, and significant it continues to play daily.

The Teachers Pay Teachers card will help me find resources to create, create and delivery activities to enrich their knowledge on many people that contributed to the development of history. This will allow them to understand what entails African American continues to contribute to society daily, not just in February. It will also help with identifying different HBCUs and the diversity of their programs.

The notebooks will help with our daily lesson “Today in Black history”, which they will record and learn, to help with comprehension and development. This will continue beyond the month of February. The decoration will help turn my basic sanitized room into a safe place celebrating black excellence every day, not just for a month. Books will be used to increase knowledge and importance of my black history and help students as the collaborate with each other about unsung African American hero’s.
