Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a special education teacher in a preschool classroom. The majority of the children are bilingual and have parents who only speak Spanish.

A majority of the children also come from low-income households, so I want to make sure that they do not have to pay out-of-pocket for supplies to be successful in the classroom.

This year, we finally returned to the classroom after a year of being virtual and I am very excited to finally meet my students in person!

My Project

We have had a spike in Covid cases since the school year began. In the case that we have to go remote for the safety of our children, we want to be prepared. This laptop will be used to connect with the children remotely and will also be used while in the classroom for when we are in person. We will use it to create lessons, activities, and slideshows for the students.I want to be prepared to teach at all times. We know that in person learning is more valuable, but we also want to be prepared to teach remotely if that will keep our children safe during certain periods. Thank you for your help!
