My Project

Students love exploring color using watercolor paints and watercolor paper. I like to give them the primary colors (yellow, blue, red) that they can then mix to create secondary colors (like orange) and tertiary colors (like blue-green).

These paints are "liquid watercolor" which are easy for students to use K-5.

And they can use them like scientists, mixing recipes of 2 drops blue, 1 drop yellow, etc., to come up with different color shades. They also use painting trays for their color mixing, which is very engaging for students.

They will also expand their imagination with choosing their own subjects for their paintings. At this time in the year, it is so important for students to feel invested in their own learning, making their own choices.

These paints create very vivid colors, helping students feel proud of their work no matter what they choose to paint.
